During this season that many look to humble themselves
And mourn with fasting
Perhaps you need a different fast

And one that will lift your heart

For those who have been wrapped in lament
You need a glimpse of pleasure
And beauty
And love that will sustain you.
Because it is hard to continue in fighting
When tears and fears abound
And hope is at best a luxury.
