Day 39 – scream

If you haven’t read the introduction to this practice on our webpage, we encourage you to first read more about it here.

Today’s word for writing is “scream.”

On pathways to collective flourishing, over what do we scream?
What is your relationship to instinctual embodied expression – yours or others?
How does emotional and verbal repression shape our culture?
What circumstances draw up within you the need/desire to scream?
What kinds of screams are punished and which are praised?
In what ways can we, should we, do we scream for each other?

Reflect. Meditate. Pay attention. Feel.
Then, write three lines of poetry.

May it be a prayer, a confession, an observation, a longing, a release, or a sensation – whatever is needing your tending today.

Collective contributions will remain open until tomorrow morning. Come back to view previous days contributions anytime here.
