Liturgy that Matters – April 26, 2020 – Luke 24:13-35
Themes: This week, we consider our own temptations towards Emmaus, towards an escape from the chaos, even at the expense of our companions and comrades. When things are tough, what are the paths that lure us towards a normalcy that promises short-term relief for long term destruction? This, as well as an exploration of what it means to listen to prophets on the other side of trauma, crucifixion, and conflict. Can we listen-backwards and find a new perspective that enables us to perceive Christ where we couldn’t before?
