Liturgy that Matters – February 21, 2020 – Psalm 25:1-10

Themes: “Do not remember the sins of my youth,” the psalmist cries out. It is a plea made across the ages, but some prayers are more heard than others when it comes to harm done. Who gets the privilege of missing out on accountability all together? Who and how are others bearing consequences that greatly outweigh the harm done? This issue lingers in questions of accountability, transformative justice verses punitive measures, and rethinking the concept of divine surveillance.

This week’s sermon commentaries are written by Minister Candace Simpson.
