Liturgy that Matters – January 17, 2021 – John 1:43-51

Themes: While many commentators have viewed Nathanael with a critical eye, we wonder about the gifts of his particular viewpoint and the context from which he brings his questions. Considering both the common struggle to accept parts of who we are that society demeans and devalues, and the projections placed upon Nathanael and those who question the powerful, this issue lingers in potential wisdom that comes from deeper listening to under-appreciated viewpoints and characteristics.
