Liturgy that Matters – June 21, 2020 – Romans 6:1b-11

Themes: Free from the dominion of sin, we are transformed by God in mind and practice. Living in the newness of life, we are free to imagine our world differently – what could be, if we allowed it? What aspects of our society might we re-imagine? What needs to go and what needs to stay? Ntanya Lee says “we are at a historic moment of rupture.” Our faith calls us to show up to it will boldness, courage, and creativity. We need not be confined to what we have known. We have died to the ways of sin and evil, and are bound by them no more.
