Liturgy that Matters – March 22, 2020 – Psalm 23
Themes: In Psalm 23, we find comfort and challenge. For the faithful followers, there’s no avoiding the valleys, the danger, the risk. They come with pursuing love and justice. But along the way, not only does God offer “enough,” God makes cups overflow. Rest is found in community. Nourishment comes at table. This Psalm points us towards what is needed for a sustainable and collective journey. It means we can’t linger forever by the still waters, but neither will we be left alone.
