Liturgy that Matters – March 6, 2022 – Deuteronomy 26:1-11
Themes: Exploring the ancient Israelites as “a fugitive coalition of the disposed,” this issue reflects on the importance of origin stories – in reading and apply the scriptures and also in our own collective self-understandings of what has made us and what we can become. This, alongside making Lenten “sacrifices” a fruitful, generative possibility for reparations and repair.
This week’s sermon commentary is written by Nichola Torbett with liturgy by Rev. Molly Bolton.
