Liturgy that Matters – November 13, 2022 – Luke 21:5-19

While post-enlightenment thinking reads a linearity of time into this text, this issue invites readers to divest from such interpretations, turning instead toward a different orientation to time – one that is collective, shape-shifting across contexts and communities, and leads us – by the guidance of those most threatened – toward endings and beginnings that build the world anew.
This week’s sermon commentaries are written by Casey Overton with liturgy by Rev. Molly Bolton.
