Liturgy that Matters – October 4, 2020 – Exodus 20:1-4, 7-9, 12-20

Themes: We’re thinking about the Ten Commandments as an opportunity to reflect on what ethical priorities we’re called to embody in this era. We consider the ways that we’re destined to repeat cycles and patterns of dominance without clear plans for living alternatively. And we discuss the importance of practicing individual boundaries and accountability in our faith communities. Have we been led to believe God’s love is unboundaried if unconditional? This is a dangerous theological road to walk and Exodus helps us think through agreements between God and each other.
